An specific china-iPhone carrying model number A1324 have receive a five year approval on China's State Radio Regulatory Commission on May 7th. The iPhone hardware will appear on china's unicom network. The phone operates on the 900MHz, 1700MHz and 1900MHz bands. It seems that the iPhone does not have WiFi capabilities.

Today Apple just release a new firmware for the iPhone which fixes the vulnerability of the SMS hack. As we already know the SMS vulnerability could of allowed hackers to hack iPhone via text. The problem was addressed yesterday in the Black Hack Cybersecurity conference in Las vegas. The firmware 3.0.1 seems to be only a patch to fix the security problems. Apple as posted a summery of the 3.0.1 on the Apple site. It looks like the problem was really serious since apple acted so fast. Lets hope that this really fix the problems so we all can be worry free.

Here is a new really cool app for all iPhones that are jailbroken :) is called GV Mobile. The app is available throw Cydia, there is no cost right now for the app but if you really like it you can donate to the developer. It clearly said it on the description that this is not a product of Google.

A group of cybersecurity researchers are planning to unveiled a security flaw on the iPhone which let hackers take control of the phone via SMS.
The two guys who found this are planning to unveil it at the black hat conference in Las Vegas today. They told Apple a month ago about the security flaw but Apple have done nothing to fix it yet. Will they fix it?
To prevent your phones from being hacked if you ever receive a text containing a single square character turn your phone off quickly. That will stop your iPhone from getting hack.
Apple should do something soon before we all have hack iphones going crazii.

This week Apple took a step forward to making iPhone and iPod touch apps in the apple store easier to find. Now developers could add comma-separate keywords to their apps, up to 250 characters that's a lot :).
There are too many apps in the apple store and we all now that it needs much more improvement in order for iPhone and iPod touch users to find the app they want. Hopefully this will make it a bit easier.
Apple MobileMe has finally release iDisk application for iPhone and iPod touch users. The application was originally announced July during apple's worldwide conference. iDisk offer users the ability of accessing files they MobileMe contacts have stored on apple service. You can also stream audio and video without any restrictions, view files on landscape of portrait view, your log-ins are save between sessions so you wont have to re-enter your username and password, and you can view files your friend have store online if you know their MobileMe user name.
Now for the bad parts of this application they are no visuals previews of what videos, photos, or doc it contains. There is no way to save files for offline viewing :(. copy and paste does not work what a let down :(. also as soon as new files need more space old files will be deleted.

Did you ever had trouble remembering where you parked your car? it is very frustrating i know but with this iPhone 3g app you won't even have to worry about about remembering where you park the car. Let the iPhone take you exactly where you park the car is very simple. The name of the application is G-Park and you can find it on the apple store! take a look at this:
1. Park your car and hit the 'Park me!' button.
2. Add a Photo and notes about your parking space.
3. Get lost
4. Hit the 'Where Did i Park?' button. Choose 'Directions' for turn-by-turn directions that will take you right back to your car. Choose 'Exact Location' to pinpoint your car.
Sounds good doesn't it? This G-Park as an easy interface which lets you take a pic of the spot you parked you can also enter notes that you will want to remember. This application only cost $0.99 on the apple store it is only for the iPhone 3g and iPhone 3gs. So from now on let the iPhone do the remembering park you just enjoy your day without worries!.

In this short guide i am going to be showing you how to save your iPhone 3g s iBEC and iBSS files. The iBEC and IBSS files are really important for you to have if you are planning on jailbraking your device now or when apple updates the iPhone firmware. The Dev Team and GeoHot already said it was essential for everyone to save this files to use with their tools. When iTunes starts the restore process, they contact Apple servers to generate signatures just for your device. It’s important you get these signatures for your phone before a new version of the software comes out. ” And to eliminate this limitation you have to generate a unique certificate for your phones iBSS and iBEC.
This process of grabbing the iBEC and iBSS files is very long but i found a great tool which will help us do it quick. This tool is an IBEC and IBSS grabber which you can download it directly from here. This is the shortest and best method to use.
Follow this instructions:
1. First select the location where you will want you files to be save at.
2. Click on the Start Watching Button.
3. To obtain the iBEC files you will have to connect your iPhone 3g s to the computer, open up itunes, hold the Shift key on your keyboard, hit restore and look for the iPhone 3g s firmware which you should have it downloaded on your computer. Watch the iPhone 3g s restore while doing this the iBEC and iBSS grabber will save the iBEC files to your computer.
4. When the iPhone 3g s is done restoring iTunes will ask you if you want to restore from back up or set up as new. If you don't want to lose any of your information then just restore from back up.
5. Now is time for you to grab the iBSS files certificate. For this you will have to put your iPhone 3g s on DFU Mode so we can restore the iPhone 3g s one more time. So put your iPhone 3g s on DFU Mode once is done iTunes will pop up saying your device is on recovery mode. Once again hold down the shift key and hit restore then find the iPhone 3g s firmware and wait for the iPhone 3g s to restore. Once is done you should have both the iBEC files and the iBSS files in the location you selected to save them.
6. It is really important for you to keep this files safe if you are planning on jailbreaking your device each time the new firmware comes out. My advice will be to save this files on a flash drive so you won't lose them.

The current firmware for the iphone 2g 3g and 3gs and the ipod touch first and second generation is 3.0 which can be jailbroken and unlock. In order to jailbreak your device you need a special software created by the dev team call redsn0w which can be downloaded from here (for windows users) or here (for mac users). You will also need the 3.0 firmware iPhone 2g users click here iphone 3g users click here, iphone 3gs users click here ipod touch users second generation click here , and ipod touch users first gen click here. It is very easy to jailbreak your device you just follow the instructions with redsn0w. If your service provider happen to be at&t you can jailbreak your device to get all the good stuff no unlock will be necessary. If you want your device on another carrier in the US it happen to be T-mobile then you will have to jailbreak first and then unlock with the latest version of Ultrasn0w which can be downloaded from cydia. The source for ultrasn0w is repo666.ultrasn0w.com let me remind you guys if you are going to use your phone on T-Mobile's network then disable your 3g before installing ultrasn0w. They have been some problems after people upgraded to 3.0 with battery issues. The battery problem can be easily fix by restoring your phone as new NOT FROM BACK UP!!! Another problem is that after installing ultrasn0w the WiFi doesn't work. With an easy network reset you can solve that problem. The push notification won't work on hackactivated devices(a deviced actived without the valid at&t sim) for that you will need the pushfix hack which can be found here some say it works other say it don't. So if push notifications are really important to you then you should activate your device with a legit at&t sim card ( at&t customers shouldnt have no problem with that) then jailbreak with redsn0w and unlock with ultrasn0w and you will be good to go. Iphone 3gs users should back up certain files so the device can always jailbroken with the dev team tools look here for how to do that. Some people are still asking the question that if is okay to upgrade to the new itunes 8.2.1 and the answer to that question is if you already have your device jailbroken and you are not planning on jailbraking your device again then the answer is yes you can upgrade to the new itunes 8.2.1 remember you can always downgrade your itunes. Some people are worried about buying the new iphone 3gs because they think that it will come with the new 3.1 firmware which cant be jailbroken or unlock yet. But they are rummors around that the new firmware is to come out around september so the 3gs still don't have the 3.1 firmware so hurry up and get yours before is too late!. People should know this by now but if you sync your contacts to iTunes and you planing on restore your device as new you won't lose your contacts. If you have a jailbroken/unlock device and you want to stay jailbroken/unlock please don't upgrade to the 3.1 beta some people have done this already just to find out that they cant jailbrake/unlock their device not till the Dev Team release the tools for it which can take a really long time. So don't Upgrade to 3.1 yet!!! i will let you know when i safe to upgrade. Sun Danyong a worker of a company that makes iphone in china committed suicide after a prototype went missing.
A newspaper says the worker was responsible for sending iPhone prototypes to Apple, and on July 13 he reported that he was missing one of the 16 fourth-generation units in his possession. The paper quotes his friends as saying security guards searched his apartment, detained him and beat him, and that he later jumped from the 12th floor of his apartment building.
This messages were sent by Sun to his girlfriend approximately 2 hours before he died. This messages were translated and posted online:
“My dear, I’m sorry, go back home tomorrow, something has happened to me, please don’t tell my family, don’t contact me, this is the first time that I have ever begged you, please agree to that! I am so sorry!”
In records of what may be his last online chat, Sun tells old college friends that he never stole the iPhone and thinks maybe someone stole it without his noticing or possibly removed it from the box after he had sent it.
His final message:
“Right now I am paying the interest on my student loan. I hope this will not affect the chances of younger people applying for loans. I am sorry for this. Bye, Gao Ge [a college friend], rest well. Thinking that I won’t be bullied tomorrow, won’t have to be the scapegoat, I feel much better.”

But in other for you to make this work you need to have mms with your service provider and the correct settings for your carrier. The swirlyMMS application cost $12.00(us) for new members and if you happened to have the old version of mms that would just let you send pictures but not receive them you can upgrade for only $6.00(us) from the Cydia. In my opinion i think this is a great application better then the mms hack becasue the picture come out full quality instead of distorted of with different colors and lines ( that happened to me when i am using the iphone messeges application to send pictures) :). This is the fix that the dev team created. But im not really sure if it fixes all the problems because the article bellow says that people were receiving messages out of nowhere. But if you wanna try it here it is :)
1 Open up cydia
2 tap on Manage
3 tap on source
4 tap on edit
5 tap on add
6 enter http://cydia.iphoneil.net
7 then tap add source
once the source is added click on iphoneil.net and look for pushfix. Install it then tap on the big reboot device button. once the iphone reboots check if youtube is working. If is not reinstall the pushfix again and check it till it works it should fix it. Once done all that you will have to uninstall and reinstall all the apps that use push notifications. One of the known issues with the jailbroken iPhone running iPhone OS 3.0 is that it disables the Push Notification feature. The iPhone Dev Team had released a fix to resolve the issue.
However, German developer and founder of Equinux has discovered a major flaw with the Push Notification fix. He discovered that when he sent a message using AOL's AIM iPhone app to a friend in Europe, he received a reply not from his friend, but from a total stranger in the US - a person who had also installed the Push Notification patch.
Though it initially seemed to be a problem with AOL's AIM iPhone app, which appeared to be broadcasting instant messages to random, unintended recipients, the issue is due to the Push Notification fix installed on a jailbroken iPhone as it uses the same UDID - Unique Device ID for the fix.
Due to this hard-coding, if you send a message to one of a user of a jailbroken iPhone who has installed the push notification fix then other iPhone users who had installed the fix also get the message.
It is still not clear if the issue was due to the patch, that the iPhone Dev Team had released or due to the app called Push Fix, that was released by iPhoneIL who had essentially packaged the fix released by the Dev Team and released it on Cydia to make it easier for jailbroken iPhone users.
If you have installed the push notification fix then the one of the options would be to restore your iPhone with iPhone OS 3.0 and jailbreak it again.

I have seen a lot of people saying that the sidekick data plan does not work on iphones but i am here to tell you that is not true. The sidekick plan does work on the iphone i have my iphone 3g with the sidekick plan and its running flawlessly. :)
Here is how to get it to work.
1. Go to settings
2. Tap on General
3. Tap on Network
4. Tap on Cellular Data
5. Under Cellular data type the following

that is all :) your iphone should have internet now try it :)
I found a way to fix the problems some of the people were having with the wifi is really simple. Here it is:
1. Go to Settings
2. Tap General
3. Tap Reset…
4. Tap Reset Network Settings
The phone will reboot. Once it reboots you will have to type the password for all of your network. I found that after doing that my iphone wifi is working flawlessly. :)
With the new release of the firmware 3.0 some people have been experiencing problems with battery life. Here is a Possible fix:
1. Go to Settings
2. Tap on mail, Contacts, Calendar
3. Tap Fetch New Data
4. Turn off “Push.” This turns off push, in one step, for all email accounts that are enabled for it, while preserving the “Fetch” settings you may have already set for every account.
5. Reboot your iPhone. To do that, hold down the Sleep/Wake button (the one at the top) until you see the red slider appear, then drag the slider.
6. After the phone as restarted the battery life should improve. Please leave a comment and let me know if it works. :)
Also the dev team has said in on of their post that some of this problems are caused by people restoring their iphones from their back up. The dev team advise to restore iphone and set it up as new. This will eliminate the battery life problems. :)
The iphone 3.0 was some what buggy if you ask me. The new firmware 3.1 will fix some of the bugs of the 3.0 firmware. Following the release of iPhone 3.1 with the accompanying SDK for developers earlier this month, Apple has seeded iPhone developers with iPhone SDK 3.1 beta 2 and iPhone OS 3.1 beta 2. Noticed that the Wi-Fi connection feature offered by the version is "huge for developers".
The rumors about the iphone launching in china might be true. A deal between Apple and China Unicom, one of the mobile phone carriers in the country, has been already inked. The iphone might hit stores in china by september of this year. :) cool

Users can select photos from their iphone library or take a new one with the iphone camera cool huh :). Guys as you may know apple as release the new beta firmware 3.1. This firmware will be release soon!. If you guys have your iphone 3g or 3gs jailbroken/unlock and want to keep it on that stage don't upgrade to the new firmware 3.1 because it closes the hole used by the dev team to jailbreak and unlock the iphone.
